2014 Holiday Club & Messy Church
While the memory of a great Commonwealth Games in Glasgow was still fresh in everyone’s minds, we had our very own sports themed holiday club over three mornings here in the Church hall in Drumnadrochit, complete with Baton Relay, games, drama, crafts and stories about our special King, Jesus, and what He has done for us.
On Saturday our Family Messy church also had a sporty theme with mums and dads joining in with games, jigsaws and lots of craft activities – the most popular being the train set, edible medals and, of course, junk modelling. It is amazing to see the creations that come from a pile of empty boxes and lots of sticky tape!!
To round off the week, the children gathered again on Sunday morning for our Holiday Club family service, when they were able to show the whole congregation something of what they had been doing and learning during the week, complete with the crowns, royal robes and team flags they had made.
Many thanks to everyone who prayed, donated items or helped out in any way with this year’s club – as part of the team or behind the scenes. Every role is important in making sure that everything runs smoothly and your help was very much appreciated.
