Sunday Club Presentation & Soup Lunch

The annual Sunday Club Spring presentation in the Church was due to take place during the Sunday service on 8th March.  However, due to flooding which meant that half of our children, leaders and pans of soup were on the wrong side of the flood waters, this was rescheduled for Sunday 22nd March.

The children presented a sketch in the Church about how God organised the colours of the rainbow after the flood.  Although several of our regular children were not able to be there, the others did very well, some doubling up roles and taking on extra reading.  Afterwards we had a lovely time in the church hall enjoying home made soup, bread and baking, all donated by members of the congregation.  There was a display of some of the work we have been doing in Sunday Club over the session and opportunity was given to donate to the work, and to help support Juan Gerardo, the boy we sponsor in Guatemala through the Adopt-A-Child programme.

We are delighted to have raised just over £370 from these donations.  Many thanks to all who donated food for the event, who came along and supported us and, of course, very well done to the children who took part.
